About me
Hi, I'm Arpi, artist, biology student, and the daughter of two architects who never stood a chance at not being creative.
I've been painting for as long as I can remember, but this summer feels different. After two years at Northeastern in Boston, I transferred back home to the DMV and being back, closer to my people and my space, has brought out a creativity in me I didn't realize I was missing. So I leaned into it.
I paint almost everything from my camera roll. The plant in the corner of my room, flowers I spotted on the side of the road, a view from a window that felt too good not to capture. A lot of it is personal in ways that are hard to explain, which I think is exactly the point. I also make watercolor cards and paintings for my family, and I'm currently working on an Armenian collection featuring the churches and landscapes that are part of who I am as an Armenian American.
I started posting on TikTok about a year ago and honestly fell in love with sharing the process just as much as the finished piece. One of the most unexpected and beautiful parts of this journey has been the community that comes with it. College gives you a lot, but the connections I've made through art, the people who reach out, share their thoughts, and cheer you on, that's something I didn't expect and something I genuinely treasure. I'm still finding my niche, still figuring things out, but I'm having a lot of fun doing it and I'm so glad you're here for it.
